Just finished reading "Planet Joe" by Joe Cole (2.13.61 Publications, 1992)
Even with all his tripping it takes me back to a coming of age in me.
Back when I didn't know what I "wanted to be" when I grew up.
As if your job defines who you are. As if you can't change the course if you aren't who you
"wanted to be". So many of his words touched my soul. I just wanted to tell him, it's ok.
Just be who you are, even if you are an alien boy in this world. I'll never meet him.
He's dead. Murdered at 30. But he still touched me through his words, and I won't be able
to forget him.
